Milk was a bad idea....

Now please understand that it is my day off and I do not make a habit of this, but there isn't really anything good to watch on T.V. around 1 pm during the week. So I was watching 30 minute meals and Racheal Ray is talking about red onions, then states that they are in fact Purple Onions and they should be called Purple onions. She stated that she is starting a "movement" to change the name of red onions to PURPLE ONIONS. Now I ask you, where does she get off? I guess I wouldn't get all worked up over it, but this is not the only name she has changed. For instance, "Smash Potatoes", I grew up knowing them as mashed potatoes. Is she hurting for ratings that bad that she needs to be quirky and cute while trying to make "bold statements" like changing the names of vegetables that have been around longer then she has or changing the name of a classic comfort foods?

Yup... Milk was a bad idea...
